Rent A Green Box Wins Eco-Friendly Contest

Congratulations to Spencer Brown and his Rent - A- Green Box.com, for winning $25,000 in Keen Footwear’s “Stand” competition.

Rent-a-Green Box.com recycles plastic bottles into reusable plastic boxes, called Recopacks, that are being marketed as moving boxes.

Moving is a nightmare at the best of times, one of the worst parts being the mad scramble to get, and get rid of, the boxes.  Recopacks are available for rent in 3 different sizes.  Pick them up; drop them off, all done. 
 
The environmental savings behind the company are impressive.  For every 100 rentals, the company saves 3 trees, 2500 pounds of carbon dioxide, 500 pounds of plastic and 350 pounds of packing materials from entering a landfill.
