Step 1 [We Deliver'em]
On the day of your order, we’ll deliver the Recopacks within a 2 hour window of your requested time. We’ll deliver them direct to your garage. Upon arrival, we would like to review your residence to make sure that you have ordered enough Recopacks for your move. Please note that most people underestimate what they really need to pack and move efficiently. We always carry extra Recopacks and our eco-agent is there to help you determine the right box count and blend of sizes for your move. Our job is to help you save time and money and moving a few heavy boxes takes longer and costs more in labor than moving a few extra lighter Recopacks. If you live on the second floor or higher, we enter and elevator, have a super long carry, or load them directly into your place, we do have to charge you a bit extra for the service- but not much. We’ll go over this during your order as we don’t like surprises and neither should you.

Step 2 [You Pack]
After delivering our Recopacks, our eco-agent will give you a quick demonstration how to speed pack and speed load your property into the Recopacks. It’s so simple. Take one empty Recopack, close the lid and place on the floor where you’re packing. Stack another empty Recopack on top to make a hip high table. Take a third Recopack and place on top of these two base units and you’re now ready to pack. No more bending up and down to pack and load your property. Just place the items into the Recopack and close the lid.

Step 3 [You Stack]
When this Recopack is full with your stuff, close the lid, label the Recopack, lift and move to one side. Repeat this step until you have a stack of 4 or 5 completed and ready to move Recopacks. Make as many stacks of 4 or 5 until your done.

Step 4 [You Move]
On the day of the move, just make sure that all of the Recopacks arrive at your new location. If you have hired a moving company, please show them how you labeled the boxes, so they can place them in the correct room for unpacking. If you are moving yourself or having your friends and family help, please rent one of our eco-dollies, so you can transport stacks of 4 or 5 more efficiently into the truck and into your new unit. When you’re unpacking, just restack them into units of 10 and place them in your garage or a location that is out of the way. Please do not place them outside in plain sight due to rain, dirt and potential theft issues.

Step 5 [We Pick'em Up]
When your ready for pickup, just drop us a e-mail or a quick call and we’ll schedule you for a pickup. Since we rent Recopacks on a weekly basis, it’s important to have them completely unpacked and restacked, ready for removal when we arrive. It’s also important to have all of the Recopacks and any other rental equipment ready for pickup at the same time. We count your order three times when we deliver them and we count them three times when we pick them up. It’s very common, almost to common, to have a friend “borrow” just one because they are so cool and green. We know they’re cool, but lost Recopacks cost $100 to make, and we charge for borrowed, lost or missing Recopacks. If we pickup up a partial order and have to come back for the rest our re-pickup fees range from $39 to $99, so it’s best to have everything ready on the day of our pickup.

most people totally underestimate what they’ll actually need to properly pack and move efficiently. have no fear, our world famous “Box Buddha” can give you a general idea of what you’ll need- most of the time. what if he blows it and gets it all wrong? just in case he’s not exactly accurate at the time of your move, we have a back up plan.
on your scheduled date of delivery, our eco-agent will walk your place for free and will give you their opinion on what you’ll need to save time and money. it’s free advice and after 3 years of deliveries, plus the help of our famous little “Box Buddha”, we’re experts on renting green moving boxes. take our advice- don’t mess with the “Box Buddha”. he knows everything and then a little bit more about moving so you will save time, money and Earth.
here’s a few words of wisdom from our oh-so enlightened “Box Buddha”:
” drink plenty of water and have healthy snacks for clarity and focus while packing and moving.” avoid junk food our you’ll have a big fat belly like mine.
” no fighting about what stays and what goes to the new place. moving creates enough stress. donate what you don’t want to your local charity and use the irs tax deduction form 8283 found in our freebies section”
” packing fewer heavier Recopacks is called lazy man’s moving. it’s best to pack lighter with extra Recopacks. a few more trips with lighter loads is actually faster than carrying heavier recopacks.” don’t be lazy.
” stack Recopacks in groups no higher than 4. place on recodolly and speed load into your truck. when on the truck, re-stack no higher than 8 Recopacks and secure them for transport”
” if you feel sleepy or worn out from moving- you’re not alone. moving is one of the top five, most stressful events in your life- so be calm and pack one Recopack at a time… and you’ll be done before you know it!
